This week Roman interviews Michael Lynch, owner of Stairway Recovery Homes, Interstate Vape, and creator of Felony Fights. Michael discusses his own path to recovery as well as his desire to transform addicts into “people who help people.” Michael chronicles the difficulties of keeping recovering addicts safe from treatment center brokers, marketers, and profiteers.
“It’s hard enough to try to get through to a young person when they’re thinking, ‘man I haven’t even had fun yet.’ And in their mind they think, ‘yeah… I’ll stop using when I’m older,’ you know? And they don’t get that shot. And then you have these vultures trying to pick ‘em off too… all for their fu**in’ insurance policy.”
Getting Clean & Sober at Home
Today, more than 75% of hospitals and healthcare providers offer access to telehealth treatment, with 29 states having gone so far as to enact telehealth parity laws, which force insurance companies to reimburse patients for telehealth at the same rates as they would for in-person treatment.
If you’ve been thinking about getting clean and sober, or if you’ve been wanting to work on and strengthen the recovery you already have, it’s never been easier to do it through telehealth.
