“I became an EMT in Boone County, West Virginia. I had all these seasoned partners who had been EMT’s for a while. There were a couple of drug overdoses, nothing super crazy. One of them was a potential reported stabbing. It was a weird scene. I was fully nodding out, driving an ambulance and this is West Virginia. You’re in the mountains, the roads are NOT straight. So you’re weaving in and out of these mountains and trailer parks that are in like ditches…”
