What to Expect in Outpatient Addiction Treatment

What to Expect in Outpatient Addiction Treatment - TransformationCare

When you hear the term “rehab” you most likely think of addicts and alcoholics getting treatment at a residential facility, but did you know that there are other types of drug and alcohol addiction treatment? At Transformations Care, we offer a full continuum of addiction care including detox, residential addiction treatment, PHP (partial hospitalization programs), IOP (intensive outpatient programs), and OP (outpatient) rehab programs. Here’s what you can expect from Transformations Care’s outpatient addiction treatment programs.

Outpatient Services vs. Residential Addiction Treatment

At Transformations Care, we offer 3 types of outpatient services—PHP, IOP, and OP—in addition to our detox and residential programs.

Residential Addiction Treatment

Our residential rehab program is customized and designed to get down to the root of your trauma that’s been fueling your drug or alcohol addiction for all these years. During a typical day, you can expect to take part in treatments like:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Life skills
  • Relapse prevention
  • Art therapy
  • Music therapy
  • An introduction to the 12 Steps
  • Yoga for Recovery

While we’re teaching you the tools you need to stay clean and sober, you’ll be living in our private residence located in the South Bay. Living at our facility gives you time away from the distractions or temptations from the outside world, so you can focus on turning your life around. It’s a comfortable, homey environment that will give you the support you need to get well.

Outpatient Services for Drug & Alcohol Addiction Treatment

PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program)

With our PHP program, you’ll be spending the majority of your days participating in groups and treatments that are similar to those that our residential program offers. The only difference is that you won’t be living at the facility. PHP is typically a more significant commitment than our other outpatient programs: You can expect to spend about 5 days a week, 8 hours a day with us, working on yourself and getting better.

IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program)

In IOP, you can expect to be treated by expert clinicians that feel more like friends who are supporting you as you find your path to recovery. Our IOP program offers treatments modalities such as life skills and relapse prevention, but it isn’t as substantial of a commitment as PHP. The best feature of our IOP program is that we offer daytime and nighttime tracks, so people working 9-5 jobs can still get the addiction treatment they need.

OP (Outpatient Program)

Just like our IOP program, we offer outpatient addiction treatment at different times of the day. In our outpatient program, you’ll spend a shorter amount of time with us (typically 3 days a week for a couple of hours each day), but you’ll receive the same quality care that we give to all other levels. Since this is a smaller time commitment, we typically suggest that our outpatient clients start with our residential or PHP program and then gradually work their way through each of the other levels. This helps prevent relapse and make your transition into early recovery easier.

Bottom line: Addiction is a disease and if you don’t get some type of addiction treatment, your life is going to continue to spiral out of control. Give us a call today at 424.339.0965 and we’ll help put together a full treatment plan that will work for you.

If you’ve been thinking about getting clean and sober, or if you’ve been wanting to work on and strengthen the recovery you already have, it’s never been easier to do it through telehealth.
