Do I Need Detox?

Do I Need Detox - Transformationcare

If you’re asking yourself whether you need detox, then guess what: You probably do.

People who don’t have any issues with drugs and alcohol don’t think about quitting or how they might
do it.

Asking yourself whether you need detox means that on some level, you’re ready to consider it. You’ve begun to realize that changing things up might get you a better life.

It’s true: If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’ll get what you’ve been getting. But when you make a different decision, you’ll get a different life.

So how can you tell if it’s time to quit, and if detox might help you through it?

“Rock bottom” looks different for everyone. It might mean jails or institutions; it might mean losing relationships; it might just be that you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired. Everyone’s pain is their own.  Don’t compare yourself to others.  If you have felt the incomprehensible demoralization of addiction, you’re ready.  Your story is your own and it is time to write the next, better chapter.

All you need is a willingness to at least try life without drugs and alcohol. You need a little bit of hope that choosing recovery will absolutely be the decision that transforms your life.

You might need detox especially if you’ve been using alcohol or pills. Trying to detox from those substances alone can be fatal. Of course, kicking heroin solo—while not as dangerous—feels like death. Choosing detox means your detox process will be as safe and as comfortable as possible.

Getting Clean Sober At Home 2

GUIDE

Getting Clean & Sober at Home

Today, more than 75% of hospitals and healthcare providers offer access to telehealth treatment, with 29 states having gone so far as to enact telehealth parity laws, which force insurance companies to reimburse patients for telehealth at the same rates as they would for in-person treatment.

If you’ve been thinking about getting clean and sober, or if you’ve been wanting to work on and strengthen the recovery you already have, it’s never been easier to do it through telehealth.
